Petrillo Vini

Hirpinia — dalla terra al vino

The Petrillo family works in Irpinia — the mountainous inland of Campania where volcanic soils, high altitudes and cold nights give wines an unusual freshness and structure. This is home to southern Italy's great grapes: Aglianico for reds, Fiano, Greco di Tufo and Falanghina for whites.

The estate's roots reach back to 1980, when a young Maurizio Petrillo was captivated by the family vineyards under the guidance of his father Gaetano and grandfather Raffaele. After decades of harvests and nights in the cellar, Cantina Petrillo was founded in 2001 — an estate that quickly became a local reference for tradition and quality, with deep respect for the soil and nature.

Even as the label has grown, the estate has kept its warm, family character and its personal relationships with customers. The philosophy is simple: Hirpinia dalla terra al vino — from the land to the wine, with craft, knowledge and love of place in every bottle.
