Tasting
Straw yellow with greenish reflections and a fine, persistent perlage. Delicate nose with typical muscat notes of orange, peach and linden, with a hint of bread crust. Creamy attack, gently sweet (about 60 g of residual sugar per litre) yet carried by well-judged acidity and minerality.
Food pairing
As an aperitif, with fruit tart, panettone and other desserts — or to close the meal.
The story
The guyot-trained vines grow in the Bruttagosto site on alluvial soil at the northern tip of Lake Garda, in a mild sub-Mediterranean climate shaped by the Ora del Garda and Pelér winds. Harvested in late September, gently pressed, the must is held at 0 °C in steel for several months. Fermentation takes place in autoclave and is stopped by chilling before all the sugar is consumed, giving natural residual sugar and low alcohol. After a few months on the lees the wine is bottled before summer to preserve freshness and aromatics.
